Now that we’ve had time to reflect back on our wedding, all I can say is that it was truly magical, amazing and was EVERYTHING we had envisioned.
Michelle did a fabulous job setting up, organizing and making the day and night so memorable!
Most of the guests have said it was one of the most beautiful Weddings they have been to!

….Michelle is a credit to herself and the Wedding Planner Industry.
I first contacted Michelle some 2 ½ years ahead of our Wedding date while she was still involved with our venue before it took new ownership.
We asked Michelle to run our Wedding Day for us as we don’t live in the UK and she was able to liaise with all the suppliers that I had sourced and make some suggestions herself for well trusted local suppliers.
Over this time we built up quite a relationship and full email inbox while the Venue was rebuilt ….a lot of faith on our part, hoping it would all be right in the end.
Michelle organised Construction Plans and site visits for us. She remained smiley and glamourous even on the wettest muddiest day possible in a hard hat and high vis jacket!
Michelle has a strong work ethic, highly reliable, unflappable, discreet, efficient and authoritative when required! She can do as little or as much as you require.
Our newly refurbished venue had some teething problems with staffing and food which were of great concern to us and Michelle managed our expectations and communicated with the team to ensure everything was as it should be, delivered to a high standard.
We rocked up with a van packed full of Wedding Props including a marquee for the Friday BBQ. She organised the management team to get it set up and it looked awesome.
Her financial background enabled her to have full control of the costings and query incorrect invoicing. Our venue used a complex spreadsheet profile that Michelle navigated with professional ease which was highly reassuring for us as business owners.
Michelle was with us from midday the day before the Wedding, constantly checking everyone and everything behind the scenes right through to the early hours of our Wedding Day.
She dealt with staff, guests, deliveries, florists, caterers, and “wayward best men”….. I was oblivious….!
We had a sailing regatta the day before the Wedding which Michelle helped us organise, with a waterside drinks reception and all the ‘Health and Safety protocols required’.
She was there at the church waiting for me and organised the re-use of flowers for our drink’s reception.
She was calm and smiling even when the guests bus “conveniently broke down next to the pub” en-route to the reception…..She organised the naughty best men and guests back on the bus and got them to the reception on time….It was a highlight of their weekend!!
Everything was packed away carefully and back in our van the next morning, I’m sure Michelle did not go to bed the whole weekend but still looked glamourous and polished in her heels. Our guests loved her.
She has become my Wedding Fairy Godmother and I can’t recommend her highly enough for any event you might be planning. My email inbox is bereft without her daily content.
I approached Michelle from Taylored Elegance to assist in organizing my husband’s 65th Birthday party.
From initial discussions Michelle took on all the arrangements from organising the venue, the food, the disco, the magician, the summer of love photobooth campervan, the invitations and decorating the hall in a 60’s theme.
We had decided on fancy dress using the “flower power, summer of love theme”. Michelle decorated the hall fabulously and dealt with caterers and venue staff to ensure everything was in place and I was only involved when she thought of new ideas to make the evening special for us. She was unflappable when the magician had an accident the day before our party and had to cancel and she organised a replacement and did not tell me until the night of the party so that I did not worry.
On the evening of the party Michelle was on hand to greet the guests and to ensure they all were served canapes and drinks and she encouraged people to use the “Campervan Photo Booth” which was all great fun. Michelle supervised the catering staff and informed our guests when hot food was available.
At the end of the evening Michelle organised taxis to take guests home and even walked some of our more senior party goers to their taxi. Michelle then organised a taxi for us and my husband and I were told to go home and she stayed into the early hours taking down decorations and clearing the hall. The following day she arrived at our house with the gifts that our friends had brought to the party and the remains of the cake.
Many of our friends asked us who that great lady was that always seemed to be there when anything was needed.
I have never had such a stress-free party and would have no hesitation in recommending Michelle as your events planner she is a delight to work with and her enthusiasm knows no bounds.
What can we say?
Michelle was amazing from start to finish. From the first meeting 2 years before until the day after our Wedding, Michelle was on hand for everything that we needed. The meetings and detailed planning before the wedding meant she knew exactly what we wanted and how to make it happen. Her experience and knowledge of doing this for so long gave us a lot of comfort at a time when there was a lot going on!
On the wedding weekend itself Michelle was brilliant. She was happy to roll her sleeves up and get involved with everything that needed doing and on the wedding day she was first up and last to bed. She took care of everything behind the scenes so if there was anything that needed doing, she dealt with it and resolved it without us needing to know about it and worry.
The wedding day and the build up wouldn’t have been the same without Michelle’s detailed, professional and reliable approach – as well as being great fun to work with! We would certainly recommend her to others.

I have had the pleasure of working alongside Michelle a number of times over the last few years and she is one of those rare human beings that you cannot help but love. Her work ethic is amazing and not only is she a warm and welcoming person who immediately infuses you with trust, she is also extremely organised and can be demanding when needed.

My fiancé and I knew as soon as we met Michelle that we were in good hands.
We travelled up to Cumbria to view several wedding venues, and Michelle was our first meeting of the day at the Rampsbeck.
We didn’t make it to see the other venues as we both instantly felt Michelle was the right person to make our big day run smoothly; with her genuine warmth, infectious enthusiasm and desire to make our big day special.
After explaining what we wanted, Michelle ran through a few ideas explaining how the day would run and even though our wedding was a small affair, it was Michelle who made the day it into the big success it was, ensuring everything ran like clockwork.
For Michelle nothing was too much trouble giving advice over the phone, providing contact details of local people to do flowers, photography, fireworks and even meeting us half way down the country to accommodate a final meeting, and put less pressure on us travelling to the meeting.
As a couple we felt no pressure at all from the night prior to our wedding, everything was handed over to Michelle, and from that point, everything ran smoothly.
Yes the venue was what we wanted, with spectacular views, and beautiful accommodation, however, the deciding factor for us was Michelle, one of the most genuine, caring, knowledgeable, organised people you will ever meet.
I had never considered a Wedding Planner – I always thought it was a luxury that really rich people had who didn’t have time to plan their own Wedding and weren’t that interested in the planning – but how wrong could I have been!
From the very beginning Michelle took the time to get to know both my husband and I and our families – she perfectly translated everything we wanted and just made it happen. I felt involved in the whole process, the things that were important to me like my favourite florist or my preferred venue was no issue for Michelle, she worked around my constraints and created a day beyond my wildest dreams.
The biggest value to me was the week leading up to the Wedding and the day of the Wedding – there was absolutely no stress or worry because I knew Michelle had it all in hand – on the day she was the silent angel making sure everything ran without a hitch, but I hardly noticed she was there! She helped me organise two Wedding celebrations at short notice, in a difficult circumstance and never failed to reassure, care and deliver.

Having visited many wedding venues and spoken to many wedding planners, meeting Michelle was a true pleasure.

As you know we attended a wedding at the Rampsbeck the year previous and we both enjoyed it so much we put the venue at the top of our list when we were considering where we wanted to get married. The exclusivity of the hotel to us and our guests, the fantastic Lakeland location & the great rooms ultimately made the decision easy for us.
Your effort & attention to detail on the day was very much appreciated & apart from a very light shower, (not something you were in control of unfortunately) the day was perfect.
The food was exceptional & I think your suggestion to visit the hotel prior to the wedding day for a taster menu was a good idea as we have had many compliments from our guests on the quality of both the food & wine. Please pass on our compliments to the chef.

Michelle 100% delivered on all that was promised (I can’t even start to list the huge number of jobs Michelle took off us on the day before, and on the wedding day itself, to make sure everything was perfect for us).
Michelle was really helpful and pragmatic in helping spot, and find solutions to, any possible hiccups. From the moment we met Michelle, we knew our wedding was in the safest of hands. Michelle is the most amazing wedding planner we could ever have wished for, in fact we soon started to refer to her as our “fairy god mother” as that was how she made us feel. Nothing was too much trouble and for the few “problems” that we had, she had the answer. She helped us plan our wedding to be exactly the way we always hoped it would be.

Rampsbeck was our dream wedding venue and the day certainly lived up to the dream.
Michelle was incredibly organised, far more organised than me despite the fact that she was juggling a number of weddings over the summer. She thought of the tiniest details to ensure that everything would be exactly how we wanted it on the day – even visiting us at home a few weeks before the big day to finalise the plans. Organisation on the day was absolutely seamless – we didn’t have to worry about anything. All of the hotel staff were excellent and very thoughtful, an example being that some canapes were set aside for us while we were having our photos taken so that we didn’t miss out.
Rampsbeck has to be one of the best hotels in the Lake District, it is definitely our favourite, and we can’t wait to come back.

The shores of Lake Ullswater was the beautiful and picturesque perfect setting for our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding which took place at the relaxing and friendly 18th Century hotel, the Rampsbeck Country House & Hotel, Watermillock. The marquee, with three walls of clear window provided a spectacular panoramic view of the lake and the hotel’s delightful garden.
Living 100 miles away from Watermillock, with our son we arrived at the hotel two days before the wedding, and from this point Michelle looked after us all.
Long before the wedding day Michelle was readily available to help us with our questions that inevitably arose and always she was there for us, very proactive, dealing with them promptly and communicated speedily.
Michelle is very professional and committed. Over the three days she had with us for the wedding, she successfully co-ordinated all our arrangements, was discreetly accessible at all times, attentive, caring and kind, nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed her friendly good humour and our little chats.
Having Michelle around for the lovely special wedding allowed us to relax, and we had a happy and most memorable time.
Thank you for making 10th May such an amazing day. You were so incredibly helpful with everything and you really helped pull everything together so beautifully. The hotel looked fantastic, and from the Friday night through to Sunday all our guests were looked after so well and we really cant thank you enough!

Immediately we felt that the Rampsbeck Country House Hotel far exceeded all other venues we had visited, nothing was a problem for them, anything we wanted they would try to provide. With the help and guidance of the hotel’s amazing professional wedding planner, Michelle, our daughter’s dreams of a Christmas winter wonderland wedding came true.
The hotel’s ethos was never a case of ‘this is what we offer and this is what we do, take it or leave it’, it was always ‘we will try to do everything we can to make your wedding the special experience you want it to be’ – and they absolutely did. We live in Northumberland but the distance was never a problem in terms of arrangements and planning as either Michelle or members of the hotel staff were always just a phone call away to help. Many of our guests stayed at the Rampsbeck the night before the wedding and we had a fabulous pre-wedding meal and celebration evening.
Our daughter and son-in-law were married on 21st December in the beautiful church of St. Michael at Barton. It was a cold and wet day, but when we returned from the church, as the light was fading, the hotel was ablaze with warmth and fairy lights and log fires and we enjoyed warm winter pimms and a fabulous hot food buffet – in the evening we had a candlelit wedding breakfast.
We have to say an enormous ‘thank you’ for making our entire wedding weekend absolutely perfect. For Jamie and Suzanne it was the most wonderful day of their lives – in their words ‘it was magic’.

From the start Michelle understood our needs/wants and helped to create our perfect wedding. Michelle’s friendly, personable character makes her a pleasure to work with and nothing is too much for her to arrange or get stuck into herself. She organised the caterers, band, teepees, decoration …… the list goes on. We found that having someone on hand to take away all the worries made our day flow perfectly, in fact it flowed so perfectly it was over in a flash !!

Well where do you start with Michelle…!!!!
Both of us had very busy full-time jobs, and trying to fit in planning a wedding, albeit small, felt like a huge mountain to climb, and although I’m quite an organised person and a bit of a control freak, I knew I needed some help.
We contacted Michelle and explained the wedding we were planning, she took it all on board making suggestions as we discussed what we did and did not want. She kept in touch regularly keeping us up to date with all the plans and she was always available if we suddenly had a panic.
Her energy and enthusiasm were infectious and the persuasive suggestions she made, actually made our day complete, although we did have to pull her in when she wanted to have white doves following us down the aisle…!!!
We look back on the day now with fond memories and say a huge thank you to Michelle for being creative and attentive in making our day so very special.
Having Michelle on board to help us with our wedding was the best decision we ever made. It simply wouldn’t have happened without her – or certainly wouldn’t have been such an enjoyable experience along the way.
As we no longer live in the area and work long hours, we couldn’t always be around to finalise some of the decisions or meet and talk with suppliers, so Michelle took a lot of the hard work out of it for us by liaising with everyone. She has a huge range of contacts and is full of suggestions you may not have thought of. While we got bogged down with wedding dresses, suits and flowers, Michelle made sure all the other important things we’d put to the bottom of the list got sorted out. No job was too big, she has endless good ideas and boundless enthusiasm at times when yours is waning.
Michelle will make it her personal mission to ensure your big day is the best day of your life.
My daughter married in June 2012 we had planned every detail to precision.
Our wedding venue was in a town several miles away and as the wedding date grew closer the original wedding organiser of the venue had left and replaced with someone who did not instil me with confidence. With this is mind and after chatting with Michelle I decided to employ her to coordinate the day as the stress and worry were beginning to build.
Prior to the day Michelle was thoroughly organised, constantly put my mind at ease and reassured me that everything we wanted in place would be.
This proved to be one of the best decisions I made as everything on the day was perfect, in fact, it wasn’t until the following day that I found out that there had been some problems which Michelle had dealt with in a polite, discreet and professional manner and which I am extremely grateful.
I had every confidence in Michelle; she has excellent organisational, communication and people skills. She constantly listened to my needs, and reassured me. I would Highly recommend her outstanding service to ensure you have peace of mind and can enjoy your day.
